I have played the South Shores Tavern many times . The stage is situated outside in the back in the coolest tropical environment. The stage is covered with a thick plastic top and sides (In the summer you need fans...it's brutally hot in there) It's about six by nine so anything larger than a three piece would splill out from under the protective top It's not totally immune to a strong storm so bringing extra tarps should keep your stuff dry. Load-in is easy and people are receptive and friendly.
The manager and owner and the help are very open to original music (rare in South Florida) and they do a pretty good job in the promotion department.
